VENETIAE – FRESH LIKE A SEA BREEZE.
The fragrance is inspired by Venice and its famous “briccole”. The “briccole” are oak poles (sometimes made of larch) that delimit the navigable areas in the lagoon canals of Venice. Approximately every twenty years the “briccole” must be replaced because it is affected by sea salt and, above all, by erosion caused by the marine mollusc (a type of worm) that feeds on wood. After replacing this “briccole”, Locherber Milano buys the wood and has the origin certified with a certificate of origin. Thanks to the experience of local craftsmen who use methods that have been passed down from generation to generation, these unique pieces can be further processed.
The lids are individually modeled on the lathe and made by hand. An extremely lengthy and complicated process in which the reject rate is relatively high. The end product is real jewels of high craftsmanship.
The scent is as fresh as a sea breeze, as sensual as the oriental spices that the Serenissima traders brought to Europe. Venetiae tells the magic of a city that is unique in the world and a fascinating history.
