Fruity and floral scent
Particularly widespread in Veneto, Clinto wine (or Clintòn) was drunk with a “scuea” (bowl) and accompanied the frugal food of the rural people. The wine was shared with friends, along with a good slice of salami or “sopressa” and a “ciopeta” (the typical bread).
The grape came to the Old Continent from America at the beginning of the 19th century, when “Filossera”, a tiny insect parasite on the vine, seriously endangered viticulture throughout Europe. By combining the European vine with American grape roots, a hybrid was created that was resistant to the attacks of this devastating parasite. This cross resulted in the Clinto, which is characterized by a deep purple color, an intensely fruity scent and an unmistakable strawberry taste. A fascinating and little-known wine, interesting to discover and above all difficult to find, from which we were inspired to create this new, exciting and seductive fragrance.
